During a family dinner, Evan’s brother and sister-in-law belittled his wife, Sam, for her profession as a massage therapist. “Do you still work as a massage therapist?” Jill sneered. “You’ll never afford a house like this on your meager salary, and you choose to touch old people. That’s gross!” Sam calmly responded, “I find my work incredibly fulfilling. Helping those in need, especially the elderly, is satisfying to me.”
Two weeks later, Sam’s volunteer work paid off when a client’s son offered to fund her clinic. “He wants to fund my clinic, renovate it, and give me an office at the nursing home,” she told Evan excitedly.
Weeks later, Jill sought Sam’s help for severe back pain. Surprised to see Sam, Jill apologized for her previous comments. Sam treated her professionally, saying, “Sometimes we all say things we do not mean.”
Eventually, Jill and Evan’s brother praised Sam’s skills at the next family event. “Samantha has magic in her hands,” Jill admitted, acknowledging Sam’s talent and success.
