Peter, a 38-year-old pediatrician, and his wife Evelyn, a wedding photographer, had been struggling with infertility for five years. To cope, they got a Labrador Retriever puppy named Max, who became the heart of their home. Recently, Evelyn made changes in her life, including a new haircut and wardrobe. One day, she wore new jeans, and Max went berserk, barking uncontrollably until she changed out of them.
“What is it about these jeans that bothers him so much?” Peter wondered.
As the barking continued, neighbors began to complain. Evelyn started spending more time out with friends, distancing herself from Peter. The tension peaked when a police officer, responding to noise complaints, inspected the jeans and found traces of cow’s blood. Evelyn confessed to having an affair with a butcher, and the blood on the jeans was from his shop.
“I’m so sorry, Peter, but I wasn’t faithful to you,” she admitted tearfully.
Devastated by her betrayal, Peter couldn’t forgive her. They decided to divorce, sell their house, and go their separate ways. Now, Peter is at a crossroads, struggling to move on and seeking advice on starting over.
“What would you do if you were in my shoes?” he asks, pondering his future without Evelyn.
