When Sarah notices her daughter Harper coming home late after ballet, she grows concerned. After investigating, Sarah and her husband follow Harper and are shocked to find her in an abandoned factory. There, Harper is secretly helping Angela, a homeless woman she befriended.
Unbeknownst to Harper, Angela once stole money from Sarah’s mother, leading to her grandmother’s poor health. Sarah initially reacts with anger but softens when she learns that Angela’s own daughter had died, leaving her desperate and homeless. Moved by her daughter’s compassion, Sarah decides to help Angela, offering her a second chance by bringing her to a women’s shelter.
Angela later turns her life around and becomes a school lunch lady. Sarah reflects on the kindness her daughter showed, realizing that Harper’s empathy has had a positive effect on both Angela and their family.
