After a wild night at his brother’s bachelor party, John feared his wife Allison would be furious. To his surprise, he woke up to a rose, Advil, and a note saying, “Hi honey, the pills are for your headache. When you’re ready, come down to the kitchen and I’ll fix your favorite breakfast. Love you!”
Confused, John recalled stumbling home drunk, mumbling, and falling into bed still in his clothes. Allison had helped him, despite his antics. “You were so out of it that you went upstairs and crawled into bed with Mom still in your jeans and shirt,” their son Jake explained.
Over breakfast, John realized Allison’s patience and love had been steadfast through their 25 years together. He apologized for neglecting her, promising to make more time. They agreed to regular date nights, rekindling their bond and making a conscious effort to reconnect.
