Jack returns home every night at 2 a.m. from his late shift, always seeing a woman waving at him from her window. Despite finding this routine odd, he dismisses his curiosity until one day he speaks to a realtor showing the woman’s house to a couple. To his shock, the realtor informs him that the house has been vacant for months since the previous owner passed away.

Determined to uncover the truth, Jack knocks on the woman’s window and discovers that her name is Claire. She explains that she waves at him because it makes her feel less alone. Claire reveals her ex-boyfriend, Roger, still has a key and has been pretending to be a realtor to scam people.

Jack convinces Claire to confront Roger, and together, they catch him red-handed. Roger hands over the key, and Claire is relieved. Jack suggests they call the police, but Claire is hesitant.

Finally, Jack asks Claire out, and they laugh about the misunderstandings. They start a new chapter together, finding comfort in each other’s company.
