Cody Johnson’s Leather Tour is making waves as it travels through California, accompanying his latest album release, “Leather.” Originally slated for 13 stops, overwhelming demand led to 17 additional shows being added. At a recent stop in San Diego, Johnson’s performance took on a poignant patriotic tone.

During the show at Pechanga Arena, Johnson led the audience in a heartfelt rendition of “God Bless America,” captured and shared online by local radio station KSON. Attendees were moved by the experience, with one fan expressing, “This was a moment – I was definitely teary-eyed singing along.”

Before the patriotic singalong, Johnson took time to honor military personnel, first responders, and others who’ve sacrificed for freedom. He reminded the crowd of the privileges they enjoy, saying, “If you didn’t raise your hand tonight, I want you to think about the simple freedoms that you take for granted every single day.” He emphasized the importance of these freedoms, stating, “That’s a right that you get that somebody died for.”
