When our once-thriving garden began wilting mysteriously, we were puzzled, especially since our neighbors’ garden remained lush. We moved into our home two years ago and worked hard on our garden, dreaming of a vibrant space like our neighbors, Liz and Andrew’s.
However, our garden began to deteriorate, and we couldn’t figure out why. One night, we spotted Liz and Andrew sneaking into our garden, spraying something on our plants. The next morning, we confronted them. Liz confessed, “We just wanted to help. The previous owners used harmful chemicals that linger in the soil.”
They had been using natural remedies to try and neutralize the damage without alarming us. Realizing their genuine concern, we decided to work together. “We appreciate it,” my husband said, and with their help, our garden slowly recovered.
In the end, we learned that good neighbors care enough to help, even if it means sneaking around at night.
