When Daniel, Sarah, and their son Derril moved to a new city, they had high hopes for the future. “We need this, Daniel,” Sarah said. Derril was thrilled about his new school, which focused on his favorite sport, soccer. However, things took a strange turn when Derril saw his soccer coach, Mr. Sanders, hugging his mom.
Daniel noticed a change in Derril’s behavior and found him crying one day. “I don’t want Mr. Sanders to be my father!” Derril exclaimed. He explained that he saw Mr. Sanders hugging Sarah, which worried him.
Determined to uncover the truth, Daniel confronted Sarah. She revealed that Mr. Sanders had been helping her because she was being stalked by a dangerous man. “Mr. Sanders has been trying to keep Derril and me safe,” she said.
Daniel met with Mr. Sanders, who confirmed Sarah’s story. One night, Derril saw someone outside his window, and the police arrested the stalker. “I’m so sorry for the confusion,” Mr. Sanders apologized.
Though grateful for Mr. Sanders’ help, Daniel still felt uneasy about the situation. “What should I do?” he wondered.
