Kate and John meet at the lawyer’s office to sign their divorce papers but get trapped in an elevator due to a power outage. Can they overcome their differences and save their marriage?
Kate and John entered the elevator, their tension palpable. “Not even a hello?” John asked. “I don’t greet cheaters,” Kate snapped back. John shook his head, “I’ve told you countless times, I didn’t…”
The elevator shook and stopped, the lights went out. Kate panicked, “What’s happening?” John reassured her, “I hope everything starts working again.”
As they waited, old wounds reopened. “You could at least have believed the man you lived with for seven years,” John said quietly. “Sure,” Kate muttered.
John revealed he knew Kate cheated before their wedding but married her out of love. Kate, shocked, asked, “Why did you forgive me?” “Because I loved you, Kate,” John replied.
Kate, realizing her mistake, told the lawyer, “I’m not signing the papers. I don’t want a divorce.” John looked surprised but hopeful. They embraced, finding hope in the darkness.
“Can you forgive me?” Kate asked. John nodded, and they kissed, feeling renewed. “This is one of the luckiest days of my life,” John said as the elevator stopped again.
