Eddie married Camila, who had a seven-year-old son, David. Adjusting to fatherhood was tough. Once, Eddie fell asleep during a game of hide-and-seek, and David was missing the next morning.
Initially hesitant about dating a single mom, Eddie warmed up to David after meeting him. However, after marrying Camila, Eddie found raising a child exhausting. David, lacking a father figure, often demanded Eddie’s attention. Eddie and Camila disagreed on discipline, with Eddie feeling David was becoming spoiled.
One weekend, while Camila was away, Eddie struggled with work and childcare. David wanted to play hide-and-seek, and Eddie reluctantly agreed but fell asleep on the couch. David hid in the attic and got stuck. He spent the night there, cold and scared.
Camila returned the next morning and found Eddie asleep. They searched for David, finally discovering him in the attic. “I’m so sorry, baby, there’s no excuse. You’re completely right. This will NEVER happen again, I swear!” Eddie apologized.
