Queen Camilla to take a break from royal duties weeks after King Charles’ cancer diagnosis

Queen Camilla will be stepping back from her royal duties for a week, as reported, to alleviate the strain of recent weeks where she has taken on additional responsibilities in light of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Her brief hiatus, set from March 4 to March 11, will see other senior royals filling in for her, allowing her time to recharge before returning to lead the Royal Family for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

King Charles’s health challenges have necessitated adjustments in royal engagements, with Queen Camilla assuming a more prominent role, including representing the royals at the memorial service for King Constantine of Greece.

Meanwhile, King Charles continues his treatment, splitting his time between London and Sandringham. Though details of his condition remain undisclosed, he has expressed gratitude for the public’s support, maintaining a positive outlook on his recovery.

Kate Middleton’s recent hospitalization for a planned procedure has added to the family’s concerns, but Kensington Palace assures that she is recovering at home and will resume duties after Easter.
