In Madera Ranchos, California, a distressed creature resembling a “werewolf” was neglected and feared by locals due to its mangy appearance. Described as having hard, scaly skin, sharp tail, and bald patches, the creature was left unattended for months.

One compassionate woman, moved by empathy, decided to intervene. After making a distress call, Megan Bowe, founder of Adoptable Rescued Pup, came to the creature’s aid. Initially perceived as a werewolf, it turned out to be a severely ill German shepherd mix named King.

King faced numerous health issues, requiring immediate attention. Megan, along with veterinarians, addressed his ailments, including scabies, a damaged pelvis, and a broken tail, likely from a previous car accident. Despite appearing old, King was only a year old but had been unable to fend for himself due to his injuries.

Separated from other animals due to contagious diseases, King gradually recovered, gaining strength daily. Successful surgeries mended his broken pelvis and tail. Megan is optimistic about King’s future, anticipating his adoption into a loving home.
